Your pension will go up by 2.4% at the end of 2026

The Board of Pensioenfonds PGB decided this on 28 October 2026. The 2.4% increase will apply to everyone who receives a pension, accrues a pension or still holds pension entitlements with us on 31 December 2026.

Pensions increased for the 6th year in a row

Chairman of the Board Hans Veltkamp: “We are pleased that we can increase the pensions for the 6th year in a row. With this increase, we can largely make up for the increase in prices (inflation) over the past year.”

Maximum increase under the current rules

The Board always makes a careful assessment before it approves an increase. In doing so, it looks at, among other things, the inflation rate, our financial position and the reserves needed to continue to pay pensions in the future. The increase of 2.4% is the maximum percentage possible under the current rules.

Another increase likely after the transition to the new pension system

The increase of 2.4% will take place under the current rules. We expect to transition to the new rules on 1 January 2027.

Hans Veltkamp: “When we transition to the new pension rules, we will probably be able to increase the pensions transferred to the new system even further. We don’t know by how much yet. That depends on our financial position and the other decisions we still need to make. As soon as we know more about this, we will of course let you know.”

Do you have a defined contribution scheme with us?

For example, because you work in the sea fishing or wholesale of flowers and plants sectors? In that case, you accrue pension capital with us. This increase does not apply to your pension capital. Your pension capital is not linked to the coverage ratio but depends on the contributions from you and your employer and the investment return. Have we already used your pension capital to purchase a pension? Or are you already receiving pension benefits from us? In that case, your pension will go up.
