Pensioenfonds PGB receives DNB approval for the transition to the new pension system

Pensioenfonds PGB is taking an important step towards the new pension scheme. The fund has received the decision on the transition to the new pension from the supervisory authority, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). This decision allows Pensioenfonds PGB to transfer existing pensions to the new pension schemes.

5 November 2026

In the coming period, we will continue preparing for the transition and working to meet the requirements for a smooth and careful transition. We plan to move to the new pension scheme on 1 January 2027. Shortly before the transition, we will assess whether we can transfer the pensions in a controlled and careful way.

Hans Veltkamp, Chair of the Board of Pensioenfonds PGB:

“We are very pleased that Pensioenfonds PGB has received approval from DNB to move to the new pension scheme. This is an important milestone for our fund, our participants and the sectors we serve.

It is also the result of close cooperation between Pensioenfonds PGB, PGB Pensioendiensten, the Supervisory Board, the Accountability Body, the Association of Pensioners and the social partners representing around 450 affiliated employers. Our cooperation with DNB has also been constructive and positive.

Participants, employers and other stakeholders can count on a smooth transition to the new pension scheme. We are proud of what we have achieved together and look to the future with confidence.”

Participants receive their first pension overview

Participants who are transitioning to the new pension will receive an overview in the coming period. It will include an estimate of their pension amounts under the new rules. This will give them an idea of what the new pension means for them.
